Borderlands 4 (BL4): Propaganda Speaker Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Propaganda Speakers are the 27 Order broadcast towers spreading the Timekeeper's propaganda across Borderlands 4's Kairos — active loudspeaker installations that require a combat encounter to silence rather than a simple pickup.

Completing all 27 unlocks the Shut Up Already challenge, awarding an exclusive Vehicle Cosmetic plus XP, Eridium, and cash.

Unlike passive collectibles like Marcus Bobbleheads, every Propaganda Speaker is a fully active combat event. Every position is tracked at exact coordinates on the interactive maps for Borderlands 4.

What Propaganda Speakers Are in Borderlands 4

Propaganda Speakers are large loudspeaker towers installed at Order installations, Ripper camps, enemy outposts, cliff platforms, and open terrain across all four regions.

They appear on the in-game map as blue megaphone icons once you enter proximity — completed speakers turn green.

Some are gated behind story progression or Side Mission completion — if a speaker's area is inaccessible, advance the campaign and return.

How to Silence a Propaganda Speaker

Each speaker requires three steps to complete:

• Interact with the terminal near the speaker to summon your ECHO-4 drone to begin the broadcast override. A progress bar appears, tracking the hack toward 100%.

• Stay inside the green zone marked around the speaker. ECHO-4's progress only advances while you remain within the boundary — stepping outside pauses the counter. If you leave the zone for too long, the event fails and must be restarted from the beginning.

• Defend ECHO-4 from enemy waves — Order soldiers, robots, Rippers, or Kratch spawn in response to the broadcast interference. Enemies that pressure ECHO-4 from inside or across the boundary pause progress even without destroying the drone. Clear the area continuously until the bar reaches 100%.

The enemy type varies by region. Bring crowd-control or splash-damage loadouts for the densest wave spawns, particularly in Ruined Sumplands and Cuspid Climb, where the largest Speaker clusters are found.

Rewards Per Speaker

Each completed Propaganda Speaker awards SDU tokens directly — verifiable at any storage upgrade terminal at a Safehouse or Faction Town.

Completing all 27 triggers the Shut Up Already challenge completion automatically, with the Vehicle Cosmetic awarded at that point.
